Campo Family Travels

July 13, 2013 -- Our time is winding down in Portland just as the weather is getting nice. I guess that's life. We have been working on soaking up as much of the Northwest as possible over the past few weeks and have knocked off almost all the items from our list.
While we didn't get the chance to take the Montana/Idaho trip we wanted (too much driving in too little time), we did take an extended holiday weekend and drove to Sunriver. We spent our 4th of July floating the Deschutes River in Bend, OR with a couple friends, getting some yummy food and beer at a couple of our favorite breweries (10 Barrel and Deschutes) and then watched fireworks in town. The rest of our vacation was filled with a hike up to Moraine Lake on the South Sister Mountain, which still had quite a bit of snow to hike over, and had lunch by a snow covered river/waterfall. But most importantly, poolside relaxing =) lots of time in the Lazy River as well as time visiting our FAVORITE permanent Sunriver resident, Joise!
Now that we are back in town, it is back to reality. We have just about 2 weeks before we are wheels up and off to our new adventure. In the mean time, there is an apartment to pack up, school to finish and work projects to wrap up. Luckily for us, our place isn't too full of furniture and "stuff" so as long as we keep on a bit of a schedule, it should all work out.
On a more fun note, when we get burnt out on packing, we have been looking up places to go and things to see in Krakow, Budapest, Vienna and Prague - all our stops on our 7 day road-trip! So if you have any suggestions PLEASE let us know!!
