April 2015 -- After nearly 2 years of living in this beautiful city, Jon and I are counting down until we return home. There was some debate whether it would be at the end of May or the end of April, but the decision finally was made that 30 April would be our final day here in Amsterdam.


March 12 - 17, 2015 -- As some of you may know, I (Sarah) spent some time in Ireland as a kid. My dad's job took him overseas a lot which gave us the chance to travel with him some of the time. I remember it fondly; the green hilly land divided with charming rock walls and speckled with sheep, cows and horses... and then there was the cold and the rain. After our magical trip to Scotland and surprisingly nice weather, I knew mother nature wouldn't allow for a second showing. But as we got closer and closer to our departure, the forecast looked pleasantly ok (I say ok because if you have Apple weather, you know it can be off).
 
Feb 27 - Mar 3, 2015 -- After a long and exhausting busy season, Sarah and I needed a relaxing weekend with warm weather. The French Riviera is known to locals as the Côte d'Azur, and its beautiful blue waters make it deserving of the name. Neither of us had visited the Riviera until this trip so we were looking forward to new sites and sounds. We hadn't put much time and effort into planning during the busy months leading up to the trip, but we were actually looking forward to a relaxed itinerary. This trip would also be nearly twice as long as our typical weekend getaway and we figured we would have plenty of opportunities for site seeing.
