We purchased our tickets and now the countdown begins. We, and by we I mean Jon, got the email this week that they want him to start work on September 1st. As if that wasn’t soon enough, we have an ambitious vacation planned in August; we’re going to Poland to visit my family, which will now become an extended holiday/apartment hunting adventure (who knows, maybe House Hunters International is in our future?). Now comes the craziness of finishing school, a few social engagements throughout the summer, sorting through and packing our stuff, and either shipping it to Europe or tucking it away nicely at our parents' houses. We have a lot of stuff to do in just 10 weeks!!
This is such an exciting time for us. We have so many places we want to visit while we are overseas and are very excited to host family and friends for vacations. That is why we wanted to start this blog, to keep our family and friends up to date on our travels, but also to keep a record of some of the experiences of expat life – Apartment hunting, new food and people, adjusting to the new experiences of living in a foreign country, etc. So feel free to check in to see what we are up to and leave us comments. We hope to keep this updated quite regularly once we arrive overseas!
